Jennifer Johengen-Vogel, MS, RN, CCM has decades of experience in the ever-changing health care environment, including executive level health plan leadership responsible for developing and supporting health management strategies to improve health outcomes. Vogel’s expertise includes clinical program innovation and development, population health management, utilization management, complex case management, quality improvement and fostering key clinical partnerships. Vogel is a true champion for change and a staunch advocate for better health management and outcomes, her background affords her a unique perspective when evaluating how programs directly impact physicians, patients and the community.  She has developed and implemented processes to effectively manage clinical policies to meet health care cost and quality targets. She has served in a variety of roles providing operational leadership and strategic direction, imparting vision to enhance health improvement and positively impact both medical and behavioral healthcare trends.  Her leadership has proven responsible for growth, functionality, and efficiencies across many cross-functional initiatives that have enhanced clinical and quality care outcomes, patient and provider experience, and affordability of care. A registered nurse and certified case manager, Vogel earned a master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University at Buffalo, New York. She serves on the executive board of the Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network, Inc., and is chair of its Sustainability Committee. Vogel also serves on the board of directors for Horizon Health Services.
